It shows us that no matter what is one's dream, no matter how far fetched or how impossible, as long as one have the belief and determination, nothing should stop us from achieving it. We can spend our life work towards a dream, even it is for a short while, it will still worth it.

Meat Lover's Heaven
Carnivore Brazilian Churrascaria, from the name of the restaurant - 'Carnivore', yes, it is meat, meat and more meat ! This place is really a meat lover's (like me) paradise and a vegetarian's nightmare. Forget about a balance meal, throw away any healthy lifestyle thoughts and set aside what Health Promotion Board tells us. Enjoy your meat ... indulge in juicy red meat coated with a layer of bright shinning oil.

Ok .. there are some greens, but I would say, they only filled 1% of my stomach in this meal.

As a meal lover, I won't give a miss of any type of meat they offered. No regrets, except for a piece of chicken heart that I took. (Yes, they serve grilled chicken hearts. Take it if you are the super adventurous type).
The lamb and fish is great. The lamb is tender, and the 'mutton' smell is not too strong, and the taste is just nice. Fish is soft and moist, perfectly grilled. The beef is ok, served medium raw, and the juices still flow from the meat when you cut it. And of course, sausages. No decent restaurant can call itself a meat serving restaurant without having a good sausage dish. It's sausages are great, not those cheapo frozen sausage you bring in the supermarket, but real good old sausage that you brought from a decent butcher store.
I had so much red meat in one day that I think I had an overdose of it. After getting out of the restaurant, I told myself ... ok, for the next 2 days, I am going on a healthy, low fat meal. Yes, 2 days is enough for me to recover and go back to my usual diet. For deep inside me, I am still a meat lover ;)

Nice little Eatery hidden in Ann Siang
Hidden in a corner at Ann Siang is a nice little Japanese eatery - Wacha.
When I first step into this shop ... err ... restaurant, I thought I might had entered a shop selling nice little Japanese tea wares. Well, they do sell them, but they also serve food ... wonderful food.
They have both à la carte and set menu, with the tasting menu at $40 each. I will suggest go for the tasting menu, you got a 5-course meal for only $40, really value for money.
The first course is a set of mini mouthful of various appetizer (for me, I feel it will be better if they come in a bigger portion), served in a cute little mini basket. (I would like to have one of those)
The next dish is stew pork and lotus root. It is so nicely done that the lotus root almost melts in my mouth. The it was follows by baked cheese with macaroni and ham, and lastly, the unique green tea fried rice.

And of course, the dessert : Green Tea Cheesecake and red bean pancake ... heavenly !
Then, we finish off with a pot of green tea, relax and enjoy the surrounding deco.
I would say this place is highly recommended, try it, before the whole town know about this wonderful place. Do book in advance, as seats is very limited in this family run restaurant.
